The garage queue is the final bottleneck
Regional traffic approaches on I-95, but most attendees then converge on a small group of downtown garages. Sabin, Fountain, Francis and West Exchange streets can slow even when the interstate remains clear. Drop-offs, costumes and event load-in can add curbside friction.
Have a second garage in mind. If the closest queue is long, circling the venue repeatedly usually costs more time than parking a few blocks away and walking.

Arrival tips
- Preselect a primary and backup garage on opposite sides of the venue.
- Build in time for the walk, security line and badge pickup rather than optimizing only for parking distance.
- Providence Station is a walkable alternative for attendees arriving by rail.
- Recheck the map before leaving; closing-time garage queues can overlap with ordinary downtown traffic.
Venue hours and entry rules can change. Confirm them on the official Rhode Island Comic Con site.
